After more than 14 years in various management positions within the company, Speedway MotorsportsDirector of Race Development Don Hawk steps down to open his own sports management business.

Hawk joined Speedway Motorsports in 2007 and was named the company’s Vice President of Business Affairs in 2012. He was promoted to his current role as Director of Race Development in 2018. Hawk was awarded the prestigious O. Bruton Smith Award from Speedway Motorsports, the company’s highest individual honor. honor in 2012.

Hawk began his motorsport career over three decades ago. He was named manager of Alan Kulwicki Racing 1992 and was president of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. from 1993 to 2000. From 2000 to 2006, Hawk founded and served as president of Hawk Sports Management, working as a NASCAR consultant and regional manager of NASCAR. racing development before joining Speedway Motorsports.
